Sometimes being a lash artist means being a safe place. not just offering a service.

I was recently contacted by a woman who had lash extensions applied elsewhere.
She was in pain, her eyes were burning, red, swollen, and sore.
She just wanted help.

I offered her a free removal (manually- not chemical)
Her extensions came out in the shower that evening, but I still invited her into my lash studio so I could assess her natural lashes + eye health and provide guidance moving forward.

I can’t diagnose or give medical advice, but I could do the one thing that matters most:
CARE.

On inspection, her eyes were extremely red, swollen, sore, and irritated.
She shared that her eyes were burning throughout her original lash appointment
(something that should never occur during a safe lash service.)

While I am not a medical professional and cannot diagnose or make medical suggestions, the symptoms were consistent with:
• Possible chemical irritation from adhesive fumes
• A likely allergic reaction (swelling, discharge, itching, redness, discomfort)

I advised medical assessment, no further extensions, and safer alternatives moving forward.

She later thanked me with flowers and chocolate, but the truth is:
I didn’t help her for thanks.
I helped her because this industry carries responsibility, and eye health is not optional.
