đ Christmas Closure đ
From December 13th to February 2nd, Iâll be taking an extended break â one part Christmas rest, one part surgical recovery, and one part intentional preparation for whatâs coming next.
I have some big plans unfolding for 2026, including further study (hello, Masters of Counselling and Psychotherapy), and some meaningful shifts in my direction. Thereâs a lot of growth, expansion, and refinement happening behind the scenes.
So this pause is a step inward â giving my body the time it needs, creating spaciousness, and allowing clarity to settle, so I can show up more grounded, more aligned, and more fully in the year ahead.
Thank you, truly, for being part of my journey this year. Iâm so grateful for the trust youâve placed in me, the conversations weâve shared, and the moments of growth weâve witnessed together.
Wishing you a festive season filled with rest, warmth, and ease đ¤
Iâll see you in February.
Oh... I still have a couple of appts left next week if you want to book in before I go x

Okay, so this oneâs a little left field, even for me, but itâs one of the many random things Iâve picked up lately and run with. So, bear with me⌠Mouth taping!
After my iron infusion a month ago, I noticed my fatigue levels were still through the roof. I was dragging myself through the day and relying on naps just to cope. When my follow-up blood tests came back perfectly normal, I knew it wasnât a medical issue, it was a behavioral one. Time to look at my habits and routines, starting with the obvious: sleep.
Itâs funny, we learn to sleep as babies, but never really update our approach as adults. Over time, bad habits creep in, external pressures build up, and before we know it, weâre lying down at night expecting our bodies to magically repair and reset⌠when most of us arenât getting truly restorative rest at all.
Enter the Instagram algorithm and its relentless mouth taping reels. I figured, why not? A simple strip of micropore tape across the mouth and i jumped into the deep end.
After just a few nights, I noticed a huge difference. I was sleeping so much deeper. Normally, Iâm a side-to-side sleeper who half-wakes to roll over or readjust my pillow, but that stopped. I was out cold! After a week or two, I was waking up feeling genuinely rested, with solid, uninterrupted sleep.
And hereâs the wild part, Iâve never been a morning person. Getting up before 7:30 used to feel impossible. But now? I wake to my 5:55 a.m. alarm energized, clear-headed, and ready to take on the day â no naps needed. My Garmin data even shows better deep sleep and recovery scores.
The science behind it makes sense:
Nasal breathing filters, warms, and humidifies the air before it reaches your lungs.
It improves oxygen efficiency and boosts nitric oxide production, which helps regulate blood flow and cellular energy.
It also helps down-regulate the nervous system, promoting calm and making it easier to fall â and stay â asleep.
Mouth taping can even reduce snoring, dry mouth, and overnight stress responses, all of which improve overall sleep hygiene and recovery.

For those who have seen me recently, listened to my ramblings and have witnessed the shifts I am trying to implement in myself this past year, you probably wont be suprised to hear me talk about scarcity mindset.
That fear of loss, of not having enough... of not being enough.
I had an incredible epiphany over the 10/10 portal around the origins to those wounds. How witnessing my mother, shaped my behaviours and fears around never being enough for myself.
That epiphany has then lead to the realisation of how this shows up within me daily. How I hoard time, energy, and things, as though keeping more will somehow make me feel safer.
But here's the thing; my relationship with time mirrors my relationship with money (what i originally thought scarcity was about). Both are resources i treat like they're about to run out. I guard my energy like savings, and then struggle to spend them wisely, on things that actually nourish me.
That cycle - hoard, protect, procrastinate - is classic scarcity logic. It convinces you that safety lives in control, when really, its found in trust.
So im starting small. Im practising sending time and energy of something restorative, not 'productive'. Reading instead of cleaning, walking without purpose. Letting myself 'waste' time, and noticing what that brings up.
It feels uncomfortable. Wrong even. But that's the sign im interrupting the pattern.
True abundance isnt about more. Its about trusting that what you give will return, and that you are already, always, enough!
For the incredible ladies I spoke with this morning. I walked away feeling content, grateful and nourished.
Content enough to expose my vulnerability and call it growth. 333

Slide 5:
⨠Your body whispers before it screams.
Listen early, reset often, and give yourself what you actually need.

Not every sign of imbalance is dramatic.
Sometimes your body speaks softly - through fatigue, short temper, or that shoulder that just wonât ease up.
Have you struggled with;
đ´ Constant tiredness - even after a âgoodâ nightâs sleep?
This could be nervous system dysregulation, burnout, or an undernourished body.
đľYour mood feels âoffâ more days than not?
Your emotional wellbeing is tied to physical wellbeing - especially gut, hormones, and stress load.
đ Aches & pains are sticking around?
Tension patterns from stress or poor posture donât just disappear on their own - your body needs active support.
If your baseline is âjust getting through the week,â it might be time to press pause and reset.
Try this:
đ§ Hydrate properly
đ Prioritise sleep
đĽ Eat meals with protein & colour
đ Book in bodywork
đŹ Check in emotionally
The goal isnât perfection - itâs reconnection!

Massage is often sold as a âtreatâ â but if youâre only booking when youâre broken, youâre missing its full potential.
Hereâs what massage really does:
- Increases blood flow to help muscles repair and reduce soreness
- Activates the parasympathetic nervous system, supporting better sleep, digestion & emotional regulation
- Releases stored tension that builds from poor posture, stress, or overtraining
- Interrupts pain cycles and helps re-educate muscle patterns
- Boosts body awareness, helping you connect to what your body needs
You donât have to wait for a meltdown, injury or flare-up to get on the table.
Massage is a proactive tool for wellness, not just reactive relief!

Letâs be real, recovery isnât just about spending the day in bed resting.
Itâs about how you support your body and mind to reset, repair, and come back stronger.
True recovery includes:
- Quality sleep (not just hours - actual rest)
- Staying hydrated helps your muscles and brain function
- Nourishing your body with foods that fuel you, not drain you
- Bodywork like massage or needling to release tension and improve circulation
- Emotional check-ins to process stress before it builds up in your body
Youâre not lazy for needing more rest...
Youâre not âfalling behindâ because you slowed down...
Youâre honouring your body... and thatâs where real progress happens!

Lower back pain that just wonât quit? It might be your sacroiliac joint (SIJ) doing the talking.
The SIJ sits where your spine meets your pelvis - so when itâs not functioning well, it can create sharp or achy pain in the lower back, hips, buttocks, or even radiating down the leg.
⨠Common causes include:
â Pregnancy or postpartum changes
â Uneven leg length or gait issues
â Prolonged sitting or standing
â Previous injury or instability
â Imbalances from repetitive training or lifting
⨠What treatment looks like with me:
- Remedial massage to release surrounding tension and ease inflammation
- Joint mobilisation to restore proper movement and alignment
- Dry needling (if needed) for stubborn muscular tightness
SIJ pain can be super frustrating, but itâs also very treatable once we get to the root of it. You donât have to just âput up with it.â
