ABOUT THE ROLE

Working closely with our owner and management team, you’ll help keep the salon running smoothly while supporting our stylists and creating an amazing experience for our guests.

Your role will include:
• Supporting and motivating our team
• Managing bookings, schedules & salon flow
• Maintaining exceptional guest care
• Supporting training, performance & salon goals
• Keeping the salon organised and productive
• Bringing your own ideas and experience to help us grow

You’ll never be expected to manage everything alone — you’ll be part of an established management team that works together and shares responsibility.

COULD THIS BE YOUR NEXT CHAPTER?

Salon experience is highly desirable and being a qualified stylist is preferred, although you won’t be required to work on the floor.

This could be the perfect next step for an experienced Senior Stylist who still loves the industry but is ready to step away from long hours behind the chair and use their knowledge in a new way.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable, approachable, a great communicator and passionate about supporting others — with plenty of personality and the ability to have a laugh while still getting things done!

🖤 A LITTLE ABOUT ME… 🖤

For anyone who doesn’t know me, I’m Amanda (a.k.a “Mandy”), the owner and founder of Ebony Empire — and I thought it was probably time I introduced myself properly.

I’m a Qualified Master Stylist, Educator, Beauty Therapist and Hair Extension Specialist & Educator, with 22 years of experience in the industry. I am also the founder of Remy Hair Extensions and have been lucky enough to travel the world educating salons and learning from an industry I genuinely love.

But honestly, one of the things I’m most proud of is my team.

Over the last few years I have intentionally stepped away from working on the salon floor as I want my main focus to be supporting my team, helping them grow and making sure they know how valued they are.

I genuinely care about the happiness of the people who work with me. I want to know what they want from their careers, what they’re struggling with, what they want to learn and how I can help them grow.

I am definitely not a perfect leader 😂 and I’ll always be learning too, but one thing my team can hopefully always know is that I genuinely care about them.

Above everything, I value kindness. Skills can be taught and confidence can grow, but being a good person, supporting the people around you and treating others with kindness and respect means so much to me.

We work hard, but we also laugh, have fun, celebrate everyone’s different personalities and try not to take ourselves too seriously.

Ebony Empire wouldn’t be what it is without the people who choose to be part of it, and I never take that for granted.

My goal is to continue building a salon where talented people can grow, be themselves, feel appreciated and, most importantly, genuinely be happy to be part of a supportive team.

What we’re looking for:
A qualified hairdresser with Certificate III or higher and salon experience who is confident, passionate, reliable and loves making clients feel incredible.
