💙 "Toxic"? Let's talk about what's actually happening.

Brain sends a signal
→ nerve carries it
→ muscle contracts.

No signal?
No contraction.

I repeat:
If you remove the signal, there will be no contraction.

That's how every muscle in your body works,
including the ones we work with in clinic.

You don't need this.
But if you're curious how your own face works, understanding beats fear every time.

And whatever you choose for your face,
make it an informed choice.

💙 I admit. Up until very recently I did the same thing.
I treated whatever one spot people asked for.
Nothing more.

But if you think about it...
Every facial muscle influences another.

So now I assess the whole face, not just the area you're worried about.

Your concern is where the conversation starts, not where the assessment ends.

💙 Does anyone else get a little nervous meeting a new cosmetic clinician for the first time?

You're trusting someone with your face. Of course you want to know you're in safe, experienced hands.

The tricky part? In Australia, there are strict advertising rules around cosmetic medicine (and rightly so). But that also means it can be hard to know who's genuinely knowledgeable and who's just good at marketing.

So how do you tell the difference?

Ask better questions.

The three questions in this reel aren't designed to catch your clinician out. They're there to help you understand how they think, how they assess your face, and whether they're creating a treatment plan that's personalised to you.

A good clinician won't be offended by your questions. They'll welcome them.

Because the right treatment starts with the right conversation.

Save this reel for your next consultation.
You'll be glad you did.

💙 Still running on post-conference high!

Three incredible days surrounded by some of the best in aesthetic medicine. 🤍

From reconnecting with familiar faces to meeting passionate new nurses, inspiring doctors, generous educators, marketing experts, and industry partners. Every conversation reminded me why I love being part of this profession.

What stood out most wasn't just the education but the culture of . A room full of people committed to learning, sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and raising the standard of patient care together.

This is the kind of industry I want to be part of. One that values collaboration over competition, education over ego, and patient safety over sales.

Already looking forward to the next one :)

🚨 THINNING HAIR? Don't wait until it's too late. 🚨

Most people don't realise that hair loss treatment works BEST before significant hair loss occurs.

Scalp microneedling is a non-surgical treatment that creates tiny microchannels in the scalp, stimulating the body's natural healing response and increasing blood flow to hair follicles. This can help:

✔️ Stimulate dormant hair follicles
✔️ Improve scalp circulation
✔️ Support thicker, healthier-looking hair
✔️ Enhance absorption of hair growth products
✔️ Help slow the progression of hair thinning

Suitable for both men and women experiencing:
• Receding hairlines
• Thinning crowns
• Postpartum hair loss
• Age-related hair thinning
• Early-stage hair loss

The earlier you start, the more hair you may be able to preserve.

Ready to take the first step towards healthier, fuller-looking hair?

📩 DM us "HAIR" or click the link in bio to book your consultation.

💙 When most people hear the word "medical aesthetics", they often assume every treatment is designed to add volume.

In reality, aesthetic medicine includes a range of treatment approaches, each with different objectives.

Some treatments focus on structure. Some focus on movement. Others are being explored for their role in supporting skin quality and regenerative processes.

Understanding these differences matters because not every concern is caused by volume loss.

If you've ever wondered what people mean when they talk about "regenerative treatments", let us know below. We'd love to hear your questions.

💙 One of the things I love most about nursing is that learning never stops.

No matter how many years you've been practising, there's always new evidence, new techniques, new technology, and new ways to improve the care you provide.

That's why I'm so excited to be attending Juvae Cosmetic Collective 2026 on the Gold Coast.

This will actually be my second year attending. Last year, everything felt new. I spent the weekend taking notes, asking questions, and trying to absorb as much as possible. It was equal parts inspiring and overwhelming.

This year feels different. I have a better understanding of what to expect, which means I can be even more intentional about the sessions I attend, the conversations I have, and the knowledge I bring back to clinic.

For me, professional development isn't about collecting certificates. It's about making sure the advice, education, and care I provide are informed by current evidence and ongoing learning.

When you choose a healthcare professional, I believe you deserve someone who remains curious, committed to growth, and invested in staying up to date.

I'm looking forward to a weekend of learning, connecting with colleagues, and bringing fresh insights back to Kore Aesthetics.

Juvae CC is now only 4 weeks away, which means there are just a few weeks left to book in before I head to the Gold Coast.

If you've been meaning to book a consultation, consider this your friendly reminder :) I'd love to help you understand your options, answer your questions, and create a plan that's right for you, whether that involves treatment or simply education and guidance.

Feel free to send a message or book online if you'd like to secure an appointment before conference weekend 💙

💙 Facial ageing isn't just about what happens on the visible skin we see on the outside. It actually affects multiple layers of the face, including our natural fat pads.

These fat pads play an important role in supporting structure, definition, and balance through the mid-face and cheek area. As we age, those compartments can gradually change in volume and position over time.

And importantly, the ageing process of the fat pads doesn't look the same for everyone.

There are 2 distinct patterns of mid-face ageing. Let's look at the first type.

For some people, the face gradually becomes narrower and more hollow over time. This is often most noticeable through the cheeks, but can also affect the temples and under-eye area. In many cases, this pattern is associated with atrophy, or shrinking, of both superficial and deep fat compartments.

Traditional medical aesthetics historically focused on artificially replacing lost volume. More recent advances in aesthetic medicine now also explore ways to regenerate the facial fat compartments, improve tissue quality, encourage collagen and elastin production, and support the health of facial structures more broadly.

If you've noticed changes in facial volume or structure and want to better understand the ageing process, a personalised consultation can help explore what may or may not be appropriate for you.
