The love and kindness you have shown us has honestly been overwhelming during such a heartbreaking time.

To know that our boys touched the hearts of so many people throughout their lives means more to us than we could ever put into words. They were such a huge part of our world, and knowing they were loved and remembered by so many others too is incredibly special.

I know so many of you came to know and love Benji over the years through the salon, and I wanted to let you know that we had to say goodbye to our beautiful boy. ❤️

Benji was such a huge part of salon life. His big, bold, boisterous personality, those beautiful big brown eyes, and the incredibly good nature that made him such a special Blue Heeler.

If you came into the salon with a handbag, chances are Benji had his nose straight in it checking to see if you’d brought him a treat. 😂 Occasionally his search would turn up something a little different — a banana, or even a set of keys with a plush toy attached that he decided must surely be for him.

He absolutely loved people. He’d come over to say his hello, have a little investigation of your belongings, soak up some attention, and then happily settle down for a nap in his corner while I worked.

As many of you know, Benji suffered from seizures and certainly kept us on our toes with his health over the years. But he was a fighter. Time and time again he fought his way back to us, always wanting to stay with his Mum and Dad for just a little longer.

Our beautiful boy made it to just one month shy of his 16th birthday, and I’m so incredibly grateful for every one of those years.

Losing Shadow only a few weeks ago and now Benji has left an enormous hole in our home and our hearts. Benji will always be my soul dog. There will never be another quite like him. ❤️🐾

For now, I’m taking work one day at a time. I’m in the process of contacting everyone whose appointments may be affected, and I really appreciate your patience and understanding while we navigate these first few days without him.

Sleep peacefully, my beautiful Benji boy. Nearly 16 years was never going to be enough. ❤️

Over the weekend we had to say goodbye to our beautiful boy, Shadow. 💔

Many of my clients will remember him as the cheeky little blue heeler who would quietly wander into the salon, make himself at home, and, if you were lucky, decide your gown was the perfect place to bury his head. 🤍 His strange little obsession with everyone’s salon gowns always made people laugh, and it became one of those little things that was just so Shadow.

He was the gentlest, sweetest soul with the kindest nature. He loved everyone, asked for very little, and filled our home with so much love for the past 15 years. The house already feels so empty without him.

At the same time, we’re still caring for our other beautiful boy, Benji, who has been very unwell. After everything he’s been through recently, we just couldn’t bear to lose both of them at once. We’re taking each day as it comes and doing everything we can to keep him comfortable and surrounded by love.

Because of this, I may be a little slower than usual replying to new enquiries and messages over the coming days. For my lovely clients who already have appointments booked this week, I’m doing everything I can to keep things running as planned, but if Benji takes a turn or needs me, there is a possibility I may need to make some changes at short notice. If that happens, I’ll contact you personally as soon as I can.

Rest easy, our sweet little Shadow. Thank you for 15 years of unconditional love, endless loyalty, and for making so many people smile with your funny little gown obsession. You were one of a kind, and you’ll be loved and missed forever. 🐾🤍
