I wrote this a while back found it while looking through my canva. It's still relevant.

Also another one that gets me..

Charge for your worth, but also our worth isn't based on financial gain....let's talk about that one next. Like I get it but also can we stop saying s**t that doesn't make sense that sounds cool.

I remember starting out in energy work with reiki there was always a thing that people had to exchange something for your energy, but here's the thing you need experience when you start anything. I understand the concept but nearly every single industry has some element of training or learning that you aren't being paid for, nurses have to do 800 hours of placement without being paid. Are they sacrificing their energy without any exchange.

Let just get over ourselves a bit and understand when we need experience and learning, I never look at not getting paid as me working for free if I'm willing wanting to experience or learn something new. I look at it like someone is trusting me with their energy or body enough to allow me to build experience. When I came back from learning spinal energetics I wanted all the experince I could get and I'm lucky I had willing people to allow me to practice something I could hardly explain and now nearly 2 years on from my training I'm still learning and building experince with every client I see, I don't think I'll ever stop learning in the way I practice energetic work, even with regular clients sessions vary dramatically everytime. I love it and so greatful to be doing this work. 🙌

Anyway there's some thoughts for the day.

I decided I wanted my skincare range to be it's own entity, over the last 2 years I've used this range in the salon and personally and I love it, it ticks all the boxes for me low tox, no animal animal products, natural ingredient but works.

I wanted the range to be simple and easy to use so I've refined it down to my fave products over the last 2 years
We have the basics cleanser, moisturiser, exfoliant and a few add ons toner, serums, clay mask then some luxe products in perfume rollers and body oils.

I know that I will evolve the range and I'm thinking this will more lean towards more natural perfumes.

The intention with anchored aesthetics is to use skincare as a daily anchor to your body a point of connection to yourself. My labels are textured labels to create a tactile experience, hence the name anchored aesthetics, it came from my experience with creating body anchors which are essentially movements or touch points on the body linked with a positive or relaxed state that your body can use as a reference point of feeling safe, held or nurtured... so why not create a ritual with skincare that's a positive connection to your body.
