30 years and I’m still standing!!💪🏻💪🏻😜
This month marks 30 years of owning my hair salon with the last 20 years spent in my little home studio. I was turning 21 years old and only three years into my apprenticeship back in 1996 when it all began.🥰
Some of you have been sitting in my chair since the very beginning, others have joined along the way and every single one of you has helped make this journey so rewarding!
I’ve celebrated your weddings, babies birthdays, new jobs, retirements, break ups family dramas and just about every life event in between the good the bad the ugly!
I’ve laughed with you. I’ve cried with you. Solved many of the world‘s problems from behind the chair and somehow you keep coming back.
We’ve watched hairstyles change and the trends come and go and yes we’ve all earned a little few extra highlights!!
To my incredible clients, Thank you! 💕Thank you for your loyalty, laughter, friendship, trust and keeping me busy all these years! It’s been an absolute pretty privilege to be a part of your life.
I’m not sure I will make another 30years but let’s cheers to at least another decade or 2🥂🥂 😅😂
A day out with Mama Jan. First stop a grocery drop to Ibu Guisti. A windowed blind Mama with two boys trying to make ends meet. A few treats of course.
Then with a car full of supplies we headed to a local market for some food packs for a compound of 15 families that lots absolutely everything in the floods last November. The water level came quickly to the roof🥲
The only shop open in the market was a lovely lady that was Hindu as the other shops were closed for Muslim holiday. Both the shop keeper and the families were very happy.💕

The front of the salon has a clear path from Mattocks road entry but there is still works the other end around the side street. So please make sure you come in via the main street.

Wasn’t a great sunset but was entertained by a snake on the beach- first time for me🫣 The lifeguard made several attempts to pop him back in the water, but the snake wanted to be on the sand😳
Intan, this is the little girl on the salon collection tin- I sponsored her when see was about 6, just turned 18 yesterday! We continue a little support for her and her family when I am here.
First time for her to Legian(tourist area) - first time at legends (a party bar and restaurant ) where my Bali brother Klik works. Maybe first time eating like a westerner🤩 so happy she come to me for a visit- thanks to my Bali family😍
Day 1 Bali🌺
Had a great flight- moved up the front with 3 seats to myself, a gorgeous first holiday sunset from the plane window and arrived 50minutes early! Winning🙏🏻
Hit the ground running with Mama Jan and her beautiful driver/friend Made into Denpasar.
First stop Bali life community centre where they teach the women to sew/craft (which they then sell) and also have school classes for the kids. Had to buy a couple of little things ☺️ mama Jan had some craft supply’s to drop off.
Then to local supermarket to buy some groceries for a beautiful family where the widowed Mama is blind and her 2 young boys support/take care of her. A very welcomed delivery of basic essentials like water, eggs, noodles, soap and of course a couple of treats because I can’t help myself 😝 we also had some donated clothes and Mama Jan had organised a water filter stand too.

Just a reminder I am not in the salon this week as the front of the salon is being fixed up so I ran away😝
