Ive been a bit quiet on the social media front the past couple of weeks and the reason being is that my husband had a full knee replacement so family life took priority. It’s been a full on couple of weeks from him having the surgery, being discharged with a fracture blister and major swelling and bruising, to being readmitted to hospital with a suspected infection in the area of the blister,Juggling the kids school commitments and then myself ending up with sick a head cold . Slowly we are all on the mend with some amazing help from our village. Best part of the surgery has been able to use my Dermalux Flex LED on the wound area and documenting the reduction in bruising, swelling and helping him manage his pain.

At the end of every year I have a throw out as I always feel better starting a new year with a clean space - clean house, clean wardrobe and a clean bathroom cabinet!

Its a great time of the year to check your haircare, skincare and makeup expiry dates and throw anything away that is pasts its use-by date. But if you are like me and cant remember when I opened a cleanser or serum , then checking the product for a change in smell, colour or texture is also a good indication that the product is expired.

How you store a product is also important - Heat, moisture and direct sunlight can degrade a product quickly, making them less effective and increase the risk of bacterial growth. You should refer to the manufacturers recommended storage advice which is also normally on the label or on the casing/box that the product comes in.

I have had a large number of people calling, emailing and direct messaging trying to book in for cosmetic injectables in the lead up to Christmas holidays.

I don’t offer these services however I do offer alternative treatments that can help subside wrinkles, fine lines and overall dewy plumpness of the skin. If you want to discuss your alternative options and start 2025 off with happy healthy skin , feel free to message me over the holidays to chat.

So this is the worst case scenario for the last week of the clinic being open prior to the festive season …having a duzy, yesterday tested for Covid and been diagnosed with that and pneumonia. My body and immune system is screaming at me to rest (as well as my husband) so unfortunately I’m having to close the clinic earlier than anticipated. Please check your messages if you have an upcoming booking .
