Why we’re stuck with Aloe & giving Beef Tallow a wide berth …
It’s a popular conversation lately, always happy to have the conversation with our clients.
🥩 🐄 Beef Tallow is basically rendered animal fat. Years ago, ok … decades ago it was revealed how they processed beef products to produce an ingredient that was a great cheap filler for cosmetic products.
⏰ fast forward to 2025 and they have relabelled, remarked it and made a few changes. At the end of the day it is still rendered beef fat 🤷‍♀️
Think of cow skin - leather, tough hide - think of your skin … not much of a comparison.
It is highly comedogenic (pore-clogging) so especially triggering for oily and acne prone skin.
Obviously products containing Beef Tallow aren’t Vegan, cruelty free or sustainable.
