We pride ourselves in creating colour that grows and evolves with you , from seamless balayage and lived in colour . Our aim is to educate each and every client that walks through the door to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to maintain there hair at home . Our salon is a safe place and we encourage our clients and team to be the best versions of them self .

It always starts with the consultation in our eyes, the most important part.
Before we even think about colour, we want to understand you. Your natural colouring, your lifestyle, how you wear your hair and how often you actually want to be back in the salon.
Because life is busy, and your hair needs to work around that.
From there, we create a personalised colour plan, then every placement and tone has a purpose , with a soft grow-out and longevity in mind.

So many new clients who sit in our chair are busy. They’re mums, running businesses, building careers, or honestly just don’t want their hair to become another thing they have to constantly maintain.
So rather than looking at an inspo pic and trying to recreate it, we look at the person sitting in front of us.
✨ What does she normally wear?
✨ What’s her skin tone + eye colour?
✨ Does she naturally suit something softer or does she need more contrast?
✨ And probably the biggest one - how often does she actually want to come back?
Because we can create beautiful hair colour all day long, but if it doesn’t suit you or your lifestyle, what’s the point?

Soft biscuit bronde. A little less blonde, a lot more dimension.
Lately, we’ve been hearing the same thing from so many of our new blonde clients “I just don’t want to feel so blonde anymore.”
Less of that solid, over-highlighted blonde. More softness, depth and dimension.
Sometimes you don’t need a massive, drastic change. It’s simply about balancing the colour, putting some depth back in and creating a softer, more dimensional blonde.

With over 20 years in the hair industry, Lou built LOUKA around a simple idea your hair should feel like you, and your time in the salon should feel personal to you, too.
A little quieter by nature, Lou loves getting to know the person in her chair, really listening to what they want and creating colour that works for their hair and their lifestyle.
Her love has always been customised colour, particularly dimensional brunettes and lived-in colour that feels effortless, wearable and personal.
LOUKA is really an extension of that - a calm space, beautiful hair and an experience where you feel genuinely looked after.

Your first appointment is about looking at what’s already happening in your hair, what you actually want from your colour + creating the right foundation to get you there.
We’re thinking beyond your first appointment. We’re setting your colour up so it grows out softly, is easier to maintain + means you can go longer between those bigger colour appointments.
