I’ve been thinking a lot about what self-care actually means lately.

Because sometimes we’re told we need to do more of it.

Take a bath.
Go for a walk.
Meditate.
Journal.
Have a skincare routine.
Make time for yourself.

And yes, all of those things can be beautiful.

But what happens when self-care becomes another thing you feel like you 'should' be doing?

I realised recently that my little daily acts of self-care weren’t enough. I’d been pushing through, and what I really needed was to stop.

To step away.

To be somewhere quiet.
To breathe.
To simply be.

Sometimes the most nourishing thing we can give ourselves isn't another thing to do.

It’s permission to stop.

That’s the kind of space I want to create for you when you come into my treatment room at Wellbeing Spot, somewhere you can put everything down for a while and let yourself be cared for.
