I'm not sure where just yet, but I'm currently in talks with a few potential communities and contractors who have the capability and capacity to embrace, support and help grow our movement into the future!

Our communities have many trauma-informed educators helping people understand what has happened to them, and that work remains important.

But we lack a strong and consistent presence focused on what comes next:

Entrepreneurship.
Business ownership.
Investment.
Financial capability.
Building generational wealth.

Our next generation deserves more than the tools to survive trauma. They deserve the knowledge, confidence, networks and opportunities to create businesses, own assets, invest in their futures and become economically independent.

We must continue supporting healing—but we must also teach our young people how to turn their cultural strengths, ideas and talents into sustainable enterprises.

The conversation must grow from surviving the past to building the future.

We don’t just want the next generation to become more resilient, we want them to become owners, employers, investors, innovators and leaders.

💈 AN UPDATE FROM TEAM WALKABOUT BARBER💈

To all of those deadly communities currently waiting for a visit from Team Walkabout Barber, unfortunately our Walkabout Barber Bus is temporarily off the road after blowing a turbo. The intercooler also needs to be replaced, and we’ve been advised that the required part will take approximately 3½ weeks to arrive.

We are genuinely sorry for the delay and any inconvenience this may cause. We know how much our visits mean to many community members—and please know they mean just as much to us.

I’ve tried everything possible to get the parts here sooner, but unfortunately, this is completely out of my control. For now, we have to play the waiting game until the parts arrive, are installed and our bus is ready to safely get back on the road.

We’re disappointed because getting out into community—providing fresh cuts, creating connections and having real conversations—is what we love doing.

Nothing but love to every community waiting for us. Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support.

We can’t wait to see you all again real soon. ❤️🙏🏽👣💈
