Five years. Five of the absolute best. 🫶🏻

Remembering taking on this space and the countless hours of love that went into getting it ready to open—especially from my Dad. Then there was my very first day, standing in this huge salon by myself, wondering what the future would hold.

Over the last five years I’ve learnt more than I ever imagined. I’ve worked through imposter syndrome, learnt how to lead (with humility) instead of simply manage, celebrated incredible wins, navigated hard seasons, made mistakes, grown from them, and discovered that building a business is just as much about building your own character.

The growth has been immeasurable.

When I named this salon Grayce, it wasn’t just because I loved the name. It was because I believed in what it represents.

Grace.

The belief that every person is wonderfully different. That we all bring different strengths, and that those strengths are what make a team extraordinary. And that we should extend grace to one another in our weaknesses, because none of us are perfect.

I have been incredibly blessed to watch that vision become reality.

To my team
Every single one of you has left your mark on Grayce and on me. You’ve challenged me, encouraged me, taught me lessons I couldn’t have learnt any other way, and helped shape this business into what it is today.

And then there’s Tayla.
My very first apprentice. My right-hand woman from the very beginning.
I honestly don’t know what I did to deserve someone with so much integrity, loyalty, kindness and talent walking beside me all these years. She has been there through every season, every challenge and every celebration, and Grayce simply wouldn’t be what it is without her.

To our incredible emerging stylists—I am so proud of you.
Your work ethic, humility, patience, respect and willingness to learn inspire me every day. Watching your confidence grow and your skills flourish has been one of my greatest joys, and I truly believe you’re becoming some of the most exceptional hairdressers this town will ever see.
