A simple cloud formation, captured in time - though can you really capture the Now? Once you capture it, it then becomes the past, it is now longer Now ...
Hmmmm, no mater the mental contortions you perform to describe its being, you can appreciate the past in the Now
The form and the formless, or more specifically in this case - the formless form.
Release the Past
The inability or unwillingness of the human mind to let go of, or release the past, is beautifully illustrated in the story of two Zen monks, Tanzan and Ekido(1), who were walking along a country road that had become extremely muddy.
Near a village, they came upon a young woman who was trying to cross the road, but the mud was so deep it would have ruined the silk kimono she was wearing. Tanzan at once picked her up and carried her to the other side.
The monks walked on in silence. Five hours later, as they were approaching the lodging temple, Ekido couldn't restrain himself any longer. “Why did you carry that girl across the road?” he asked. “We monks are not supposed to do things like that.”
“I put the girl down hours ago,” said Tanzan. “Are you still carrying her?”
Our memories in and of themselves are not a problem. It is through memory that we learn from the past and from our mistakes. It is only when our thoughts about the past take us over completely that they turn into a burden and become part of your sense of self.
Most of us carry a large amount of unnecessary mental and emotional baggage, throughout our lives. We limit ourselves by emotions such as grievances, regret, hostility, guilt, fear, shame etc.
We need to refrain from mentally dwelling on the past, and return our attention continuously to the now, the present moment. This is where neither our past nor future has any power. Our very Presence then becomes our identity, rather than our thoughts and emotions.
Remember, there is only Now - so release the past!

Well, that new beginning has taken a bit longer than I'd thought, but I am now available for individual healing sessions, from premises located just off Cambridge St in Wembley, on Tuesdays. Other days may be possible.
I am also available to do house clearings - for the cleansing of accumulated negative emotions, energy and entities.
Please call to arrange for a suitable time, or alternatively, message or email me.
Along with a sunrise, the white rose has also been used to symbolise a new beginning, so …
Love, Light and Peace to you

When you offer or give someone a gift, whether it be something that you made or purchased for them, or just spending your time helping them in some way, do you expect something back in return? Perhaps a word of thanks, or a smile, even a hug :) some form of public recognition?
Why?
What was the reason for you doing it in the first place? Do you give just to receive? To bask in the glow of recognition of what a wonderful person you are, kind, generous, humble?
I'm certainly not saying that we shouldn't smile, hug or give thanks (there should be more of it, in fact!) - it is the expectation of receiving back, rather than just doing it because you wanted to, or could, with no thought of recognition for your act.
If it was truly a gift from the heart, it would be unconditional. Just like when we love someone, unconditionally, no strings attached.
I am reminded (frequently : ) of the things that I may have thought that I had learnt - that I haven't quite got there and that I can be and do better.
The tree below did not expect any thanks for giving shade to the sheep - and nor did the sheep expect to, unless you count the poo they left behind ... :)

As I continue on my journey, the road ahead is a bit of an unknown.
Has it rained there, is the road slippery with surface oil after the rain, will I get wet? At the beach, wonderful! On the bike , not so much.
You know that to get to where you want to be, you have to travel through that uncertainty - you have the faith that you prepared yourself as much as possible for this, the confidence in your skills to navigate through the road ahead and the trust that you are on the right road and that there is no turning back now.
In another two weeks, my current career ends and a new one begins - working as a healer and my 'Open for Business' shingle is being readied :)
The crossroads have been left far behind, the bridge has finally been crossed and with the smell of roses still lingering and the fun of the beach in my veins - I am you and you are me and together we shall always be :)
I am ready and at peace with my decision.
I am because you are,
Love, light and peace to you all,
george
