With decades of experience, Vanessa is a true professional and incredibly talented at what she does. She works with amazing speed and confidence, yet every cut and style is completed with exceptional care and attention to detail.

Vanessa is especially wonderful with children who feel anxious or unsure about haircuts. Her warmth, confidence and natural ability to connect with people help nervous children quickly feel relaxed and comfortable.

Even in the relatively short time she has been with Little Herberts, Vanessa has already built a wonderfully loyal following of families who simply won’t see anyone else.

Meet Emanuele ✨

Emanuele is one of the most positive and uplifting people you could meet, and he brings that energy into the salon every single day.

Having grown up in Italy with hairdressing parents, he has been surrounded by the industry his whole life and is incredibly skilled with both children’s and adult hair.

What really sets him apart is his calm and patient nature. Emanuele is especially wonderful with children who feel anxious or unsure, taking the time to help them feel comfortable and relaxed.

He has built a loyal following of clients who simply won’t see anyone else, and we feel so lucky to have him as part of the Little Herberts team.

💛 A Small Update to Our Pricing

From 1 July 2026, our service prices will increase by 3.5%.

This isn't a decision we've made lightly. Like many small businesses, we've seen increases in rent, utilities, insurance, and staff wages over the past 18 months.

Our team is at the heart of everything we do, and we're committed to retaining and attracting experienced children's hairdressers who provide the patience, care, and expertise your families deserve.

While many of our costs have increased by more than this, we've worked hard to keep our price increase as low as possible and have limited it to 3.5%.

Thank you for supporting our small family business and for trusting us with your little ones. We truly appreciate every visit, every recommendation, and every family who walks through our doors.

🫧 THE HAIRWASH 💆‍♀️💙

Let's be honest... for most adults, the hairwash is the best part of a salon visit. 😌

And for plenty of kids, it's no different!

Our Hairwash Experience is a little extra touch of salon magic that many children absolutely love. We start with two shampoos to get the hair squeaky clean, followed by conditioner and a mini head massage before their cut and style. Bliss! ✨

That said, it's definitely not for everyone.

Some children love the idea of lying back, relaxing and being pampered. Others take one look at the basin and run for the hills! 😂

Over the years, we've found that most children under the age of 3 aren't quite ready for the experience. Lying back in the basin can feel a little strange when you're tiny, and that's completely okay. We always follow your child's lead and never force a hairwash if they're not comfortable.

For our boys, we sometimes do the wash after the haircut instead. Not only does it feel amazing, but it helps rinse away all those little itchy hairs that have a habit of sticking around after a cut. Win-win! 🙌

Miki is such a bright and positive presence in the salon, always smiling, always kind, and always making both children and parents feel completely at ease.

With plenty of experience and a natural ability to connect with people, she has quickly become a favourite with many of our Little Herberts families.

Miki is especially great with boys’ haircuts and is known for her attention to detail and thoughtful consultations, making sure every client leaves with exactly what they were hoping for.

Kids often arrive as scruffy little Herberts; full of personality, a little bit cheeky, and sometimes with hair going in every direction.

Then after a trim, a tidy up, and a beautiful set of braids with a little sparkle… they leave looking all polished and coiffed, but still completely themselves.
