Our first Fall...

Getting ready in our first Fall/Halloween.. the amazing selection of pumpkins and colour/shapes/sizes are just breathtaking. Emily has now carved for Halloween! Scarborough, WA...

Our first day in WA visiting our beautiful daughter after her wedding back in June to her fabulous new husband. Scarborough was just picturesque in the sunshine and the beaches were gorgeous with such a family atmosphere on the foreshore. 2nd one in a month - this isn't close to us but it still makes you wee your pants a bit at the sight of that across yr TV.. the memorial was from the tornado that crossed into Goderich in 2011, and its something i never expected to hear so much about here on a lake, nowhere near tornado alley, in Canada. Not gunna lie, I'm not sure you can get used to seeing these warnings but it is reassuring knowing none of your areas are listed.

Had our first Australian visitors! It was so good to have you guys over and in true Aussie style, they travelled all the way from Florida up to Canada for a weekend visit then we laughed as we travelled 3.5hrs each way to pick up and drop off because our town has no direct public transport. The distance you guys travelled to get over the border is why we will always be family without being blood related 🥰 Photos of the beautifully natural colored Lake Huron behind the Salt Mine where Craig & I work along with our new backyard FINALLY warm enough to lay 'sod'...yep that's grass. So many laughs, so many tears and so many kisses and hugs.

So we had our first experience with tornados today..We've lived in Mackay Qld and had cyclone warnings on the TV but to have you mobile phone screeching at you is another thing. We had a marine tornado looking to form and weirdly enough in Australia, we would get onto and see what was going down then BOM just for s**ts and giggles. No real radar, no Higgins, no BOM even so how do you track the weather people? There was one in our town 11 years ago so not totally out of the question...the sky wasn't bad though..

Time is just going so bloody quickly & we thought Aussies loved their coffee but Candians beat us we reckon. Crazy over hot coffees and crazy over cold brews. A superb add with Justin Bieber for Tim Hortons coffee franchise is funny and so we thought we'd give it a whirl. Google it. The 'biscuit' is just as popular as our muffin but we wish they'd just call it a scone. I was imagining s**t, not gunna lie but yep, toasted it was pretty good. To top it off, was told to have a SKOR McFlurry on Canada Day weeeknd. Yep okie dokie i said..

Took Miss Em to Niagara Falls so she could see it in under sunshine and not frost! Colours were breathtaking, weather perfect and walked William silly. Tried our first Beavertail..sorry that everyone coming to visit will now have to endure the complete torture of either eating one or watching us eat one - seriously wtaf 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤪

Such a beautiful backdrop of the salt mine, our first sunset actually down at Lake Huron foreshore. Reminds me of our own Western Australian sunsets...
