This gorgeous mama travelled all the way from Newcastle to see us, ready to ditch the 4-week colour cycle and embrace something softer, more low maintenance… without feeling “grey.”

Every single section was completely customised - a full colour correction where every strand was thoughtfully placed to create the most seamless, soft grey-blended blonde.

From 8am to 5pm, a WHOLE lot of foils later (and a quick pit stop to feed our babies 🤍), we created this dreamy result.

As we wrap up 2025 at The Rural Hair Shed, I just want to pause and say thank you.

This year brought a lot! Galentine’s Night Boots, Bows & Blowouts, welcoming Mikayla to the team, seeing Isabelle begin her apprenticeship, watching Georgia step confidently into her manager role and meeting so many new faces while also sharing plenty of laughs with our regulars who feel more like family than clients.

It’s also been a year of big personal change for me, stepping into my mum (and Fiancé) era and welcoming our beautiful baby girl, Keira.🎀
I am beyond proud of my team. They truly held the fort, showed up, backed each other, and kept the salon running with heart, skill, and professionalism. That doesn’t happen by accident.

To our clients - thank you for choosing us, trusting us, supporting our little salon and for being exactly who you are. Whether you’ve been with us from the start or walked through the doors for the first time this year, we’re grateful for every single one of you.

2025 challenged us, stretched us, and reminded me why I started this space in the first place. Heading into the new year feeling proud, grateful, and excited for what’s ahead.

Maternity Leave Announcement 💛

As of Tuesday, 12th August, I’ll be stepping away from the salon to begin maternity leave, as we prepare to welcome our newest little love into the world.

Chad and I are so excited for this next chapter, and I just want to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our beautiful clients for your incredible support, kind words, and thoughtful gifts throughout my pregnancy—your love has meant the world.

While I’ll be off enjoying our newborn bubble and soaking up every moment, Georgia, Mikayla & Isabelle will be your go-to girls for all things hair, appointments, and salon support. I honestly couldn’t ask for a better team to hold the fort while I step away to grow our little family.

Although I’m now completely booked out before I leave, I know you’ll be in the best hands with my girls. I’m beyond grateful for your continued support during this special time and can’t wait to return when the time feels right.

✨ Big News from The Rural Hair Shed! ✨

We’re so excited to share that a tiny new team member will be joining The Rural Hair Shed family this spring — Crystal & Chad are expecting their first baby! 💛

With baby’s arrival due in September, I’ll be heading off on maternity leave mid-August. Until then, it’s business as usual, and I’ll be soaking up every moment in the salon. Early bookings are encouraged as spots are already filling fast!

While I’m away, our amazing team of stylists who many of you already know and love, will be here to take care of you. I’m so proud of how talented our girls are, and I know you’ll be in the best hands.

Senior Stylist:
• Confident in all aspects of cutting, colouring, and styling

• Bonus if you’re trained in or interested in weft extensions

2nd/3rd Year Apprentice:
