Chumba Concept Salon
Job Title: Apprentice Hairdresser
Location: Warragul

Overview:
As an Apprentice Hairdresser, you will work alongside experienced hairdressers to learn the skills and techniques necessary to become a qualified hairdresser. You will assist in providing hair cutting, styling, coloring, and other salon services, all while undergoing training and gaining practical experience. You will attend the workplace 4 days a week with an additional day at tafe.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist senior stylists with various tasks such as washing, drying, and blow-drying clients’ hair.
Perform basic hair treatments and styles, including cuts and coloring, under supervision.
Ensure a clean and organized work environment, including sanitizing tools and equipment.
Maintain a professional, welcoming atmosphere for clients.
Develop and maintain knowledge of hair trends, techniques, and product offerings.
Participate in training and skill development workshops as required.
Handle client consultations and communicate effectively to understand their desired hair care needs.
Provide exceptional customer service and assist with general salon operations.
Stay up-to-date with health and safety protocols in the salon.
Promote salon products and services to clients.

Skills and Qualifications:

Passion for the hairdressing industry and fashion.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
Strong attention to detail and creativity.
Willingness to learn and receive feedback.
Basic understanding of hair care products and techniques.

Education and Experience:

No prior experience required (training will be provided)
Working Hours:

Full-time position, based on salon hours and client needs.
5 day working week, 38 hours, Tuesday till Saturday

29th Dec: 10 am to 8pm

30th Dec: 10 am to 8pm

31st Dec (New Year's Eve): 9am to 4pm

1st and 2nd Jan: CLOSED

3rd Jan onwards: as normal
