Hair'ndipity

10yrs gathering all the best (and worst) experiences possible by working with some of the most talented and inspiring minds in my field. I attended truckloads of amazing training:
(Pivot Point, Tigi, Toni and Guy, Schwarzkopf, Goldwell, Redken, De Lorenzo, OPI, of course - Tafe for my Hairdressing Certificate and then my Barbering Certificate, attended Photo shoots, entered Hairdressing competitions, performed at Hair Shows, worked at Hair Expo, Fashion Week RAFW, Management courses, Business seminars- blah blah you get the idea ),
but none better than the training that I gained from the day to day managing of a busy clientele and by this stage, my very own Team. My husband and I bought the North Sydney salon that I had been managing and working in, late 2006. This was an amazing new chapter of our lives which broadened both of our horizons. We met some incredible people (both clientele and Team) and I like to think, through them, helped foster some pride and integrity for my industry. With some sadness -(mostly from our clientele and Team), and excited anticipation -(me!) we decided to pour all of our efforts into investing the same enthusiasm and dedication in our NEW venture: Hair'ndipity. These things that I can say with certainty are:

You need to use the best Equipment and Products- this is not an area to compromise, what is it you are really compromising on, your health, results or your happiness?? You need to surround yourself with people who are as inspired about your work goals as you are , if you don't love your Educator or Team, inspire them- or find new ones. Life is too short to have your energy drained by people who think getting excited about something is embarrassing. You need to be constantly on the lookout for opportunities to learn- formal or informal, you never "know it all" and when you cease to strive...

Sincerity, humility and skill are the three main ingredients to a good hairdressing relationship:
Sincerity to gain trust and help us both communicate, humility to keep me listening clearly (to you, not me!!!) so as I do as good a job as possible to make you happy, and of course, skill to pull it all together. All of the above give me the basis for my new salon: Hair'ndipity. You can be assured that there is no compromise on Quality-
I use the most amazing colour and incredible support range. Unite and Pravana make a huge commitment to my business by delivering constant support and regular in salon training. So, that means when I'm not updating my skills at an external training course, I'm being updated on the newest colours, styles and techniques regularly, one on one. All my colour work is complimented by an inclusive professional Colour Treatment, mixed to best suit your individual needs. I come to you highly skilled and quite accomplished,
(if I do say so myself- ha-ha!!)
Seriously though-
I am a "Redken Certified Hair Colorist", which is one of the most esteemed qualifications within Redken and is professionally recognized nationally and internationally. As a result, I am extremely proficient in colour correction and all things technically connected to the hair, from colour choice, to product and haircare choice. In 2010 and 2011, I worked for Redken at the Redken Australian Fashion Week, and with a small handful (37 in fact), of other successful applicants, worked on some inspiring shows - Magdelena, Flannel, Sara Phillips, Morrison and so many more. In 2013, I once again joined forces with Redken and worked at the Sydney Hair Expo as a Session Stylist and loved every minute. It taught me so much. In 2013, Hair’ndipity has moved in an exciting new direction. Times have changed and a growing number of people are becoming more health and ethically conscious in their approach to their hair and beauty. We still want it to work, but we would prefer it to have a minimal negative impact on our health and moral sensitivities. So, enter Unite Products and Pravana Haircolour. Unite is a premium, boutique line that is Sulphate, Paraben and Sodium Chloride free. They use Vegan friendly recipes, are Gluten free and PETA approved (and that’s no mean feat!)
My move into Pravana is my answer to the push for a more progressive colour range. Clients are seeing brighter and shinier colour and are asking for it day in, day out. “We want more colour retention, great tonal control, and we want it NOW!”
Pravana is highly researched and developed by some of the hairdressing industries’ best. With an extremely low ammonia content, extra dye load and high quality ingredients, the community based work that Pravana commits to is an added bonus. Hair parties, and weddings are always great fun. So many times I have sent a blushing bride off on her special day with beautiful bridesmaids in tow. Always a great perk of the job! I get a kick out of the whole transformation that hair gives a person. The cut, the colour, the confidence.
