Culture, community, and a free BBQ? π₯
The Koonawarra NAIDOC and Blak Market is happening this Thursday from 10am to 2pm! Stalls are safely indoors away from the rain, and we're crossing our fingers for clear skies for the outdoor dancing and smoking ceremony.
With 30+ stalls, 8 First Nations businesses, live reptiles, and face painting, this is the place to be. See you there! π€πβ€οΈ

We are all set for our Reconciliation Walk tomorrow, Thursday 21st of May!
Rain looks to be holding off and a dry day today is exactly what we needed to dry up the reserve. You are more than welcome to bring something to sit on, if you are worried about wet ground.
Here is a run down of what to expect, subject to change on the day.

π΄ π‘β« Kanahooka High School is proud to be joining the 2026 CareWays Community Reconciliation Week walk.
Indigenous and Non-Indigenous students can express their interest in attending by collecting a physical note or sharing their name to be added to School Bytes at the Transition Centre office.
Students needing to catch a bus for sport will be supported to return to school on time.
If students have any questions please see Mr Rostron during break times at the Transition Centre Staffroom.

Flu season is coming up quick! π· Here are the facts:
- April and May is typically the beginning of flu season in Australia π€
