A little bit of housekeeping🧹🧹

As the clinic gets busier, I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone of our booking and cancellation policy.

On certain days, appointments are becoming harder to get and we’re starting to have waitlists. I completely understand that plans change, people get sick and unexpected things happen, but giving us as much notice as possible means we have the opportunity to offer that appointment to someone who may be waiting to get in.

A few important reminders:

• We don’t take an upfront deposit, but card capture is required within 12 hours of booking to secure your appointment. If you are not comfortable with card capture, we can arrange a deposit in lieu of this.
• We have a 48-hour cancellation and rescheduling policy. Changes made within this time may incur a $50 fee.
• Please allow enough time to arrive for your appointment. We offer a 15-minute grace period, however if you arrive later than this we may not have enough time to safely complete your treatment and the appointment may be treated as a no-show.
• No-shows may incur a fee of $50 or 50% of the booked service price.

Of course, we’re all human. Emergencies, illness and circumstances outside of your control will always be taken into consideration.

These policies aren’t about being difficult, they simply help me manage the clinic fairly, protect appointment times and give other clients the opportunity to book when a space becomes available.

40-YEAR-OLD BURN SCAR | TREATMENT IN PROGRESS 🔥

This scar has been present for approximately 40 years.

Covering the scar with pigment wasn’t my first focus, I wanted to improve the canvas first.

We completed 3 sessions of Inkless Scar Revision to improve the health, texture and condition of the scar tissue, creating a better foundation for pigment retention.

I also included Red & Infrared LED Light Therapy post each treatment to optimise healing.

We have now started the pigment camouflage process.

The after photo shows the result immediately after the first camouflage treatment, so the skin is temporarily raised and red. This is not the healed result.

At the 8-week review, I’ll assess how the skin has healed and how well the pigment has retained before deciding on the next step.

Pigment camouflage is rarely a one-and-done treatment. Pigment is carefully layered over multiple sessions to create a natural result that looks like skin and every scar will retain pigment differently.
