💋 LIP NEUTRALISATION WHAT IS IT & WHO IS IT FOR?
Ever wondered why some lips don’t take certain tattoo colours the way you expect? This is where lip neutralisation can make a huge difference. ✨
Lip neutralisation is a specialised cosmetic tattoo technique designed to soften and balance darker, cool, purple, blue, grey or uneven natural lip tones before introducing your desired lip colour.
💕 WHO MAY BENEFIT?
Lip neutralisation may be suitable for lips with:
• Purple, blue or cool undertones
• Darker pigmentation around the lip
• Uneven natural colour
• Areas of hyperpigmentation
• Lips where previous colour has healed unevenly
🎨 WHY CAN’T WE JUST ADD PINK?
When darker or cool undertones are present, adding a bright pink or n**e pigment straight away can sometimes result in an unwanted healed colour.
Instead, we work with colour theory carefully selecting a corrective/neutralising tone to help balance the underlying colour.
Think of it as creating the right canvas before adding the final shade. 🎨💋
✨ THE PROCESS
1️⃣ Assess your natural lip tone
2️⃣ Identify the underlying undertone
3️⃣ Select the appropriate neutralising pigment
4️⃣ Neutralise gradually over the required sessions
5️⃣ Allow the lips to heal
6️⃣ Once the canvas is balanced, your desired colour can be introduced
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Lip neutralisation is not a one-colour-fits-all treatment. Every set of lips is different, and the correct pigment choice depends on the individual’s natural undertones.
The goal isn’t to make your lips look dramatically brighter immediately it’s to create balance and build a beautiful, even healed result over time. 🤍
