Onycholosis - when the nail detaches from the nail bed!
As much as I am shattered for my little pinky, I thought I may as well take it as a chance to film the process and share some knowledge that I have learnt over the years.
I feel like a lot of people hear Onycholisis and automatically now think gel allergy. It definitely can be a cause but it’s not always the case.
Other causes include;
• trauma (like in my case)
• skin conditions like psoriasis
• infections
• some medical conditions
If left untreated and gel products continue to be used, the condition can become chronic over time.
