We often get asked how By the Sea Collective came about and how we ended up in our little spot of paradise together, so here you go! 🥰

Ina and I were both on our own journeys, searching for the perfect space. After months of discussing the spaces she'd found but hadn’t moved on, and me being in limbo about the future of Mumma&Bear, we finally had a breakthrough.

During my Christmas hair appointment, the idea of a shared space came up, and we decided to revisit it in the new year. Then, over the holidays, I stumbled upon a shop front that was both a salon and a boutique. It was perfect! I immediately sent a video of the space to Ina, sharing my conversation with the manager, and we agreed to discuss it after Christmas.

As the new year arrived, our discussions became more serious, and today, we are thrilled to announce the birth of By the Sea Collective. This beautiful joint venture is a collaboration between our two small businesses, created for our community. We can't wait to share it with you! ✨

The start of something amazing!!

Mumma & Bear came out of love and need—we wanted a space for women to find clothing to suit their seasons of life. We began by simply sourcing for this niche but found that our community wanted more, so we evolved to include clothing for the kiddos. From the first spark of this idea, I did not realize how much we would evolve; now, we source plus-size clothing up to 30 and unique accessories.
