শীতকালে, শরীরের তাপমাত্রা বজায় রাখতে রক্ত অভ্যন্তরীণ অঙ্গগুলিতে বেশি প্রবাহিত হয়, যা মাথার ত্বকে রক্ত প্রবাহ হ্রাস করে।
গ্রীষ্মে, মাথার ত্বকে রক্ত সঞ্চালন বৃদ্ধি পায় যা চুলের বৃদ্ধির হার বাড়ায়।
তাই, শীতের তুলনায় গ্রীষ্মকালে চুল ১০ থেকে ১৫% দ্রুত বৃদ্ধি পায়।
