De eindejaarsperiode brengt vaak prikkels met zich mee, ook voor onze huisdieren. Bezoek of drukte in huis, vakantie, het vuurwerk op oudejaarsnacht... Voor veel honden en katten kan dit best een uitdagende tijd zijn, waardoor heel wat mensen op zoek gaan naar manieren om hun dier extra comfort en ondersteuning te geven.

De laatste jaren zien we dat er steeds meer interesse is in natuurlijke producten, waaronder ook CBD voor huisdieren. Heel wat baasjes gebruiken dit reeds als onderdeel van hun algemene zorg en routine.

De wetenschappelijke inzichten blijven intussen verder evolueren, de media bericht hier ook regelmatig over.

Waarop letten bij de keuze van CBD-producten?

Kies voor zuivere kwaliteit. Producten met kunstmatige smaakstoffen (zoals “chicken” of “beef”) worden vaak aantrekkelijk verpakt, maar bevatten toevoegingen die niet altijd gewenst zijn. Geef daarom voorkeur aan zuivere producten zonder chemische aroma’s of toevoegingen.

Informeer je goed. Niet elk product op de markt is hetzelfde en de regels rond bepaalde ingrediënten verschillen per toepassing. Zo zijn terpenen, flavonoïden of andere reststoffen vaak niet wenselijk bij dieren. Vooral de concentratie naargelang het gewicht is belangerijk. Juiste informatie en begeleiding zijn zeker niet overbodig.

Elke hond en kat is anders. Wat past binnen de zorg van het ene dier, past niet noodzakelijk bij een ander dier. Goede uitleg kan helpen om de juiste keuzes en evaluatie te maken.

Vandaag staan we stil bij de onmisbare rol van vrouwen in ons team en ieders leven. We bedanken hen voor hun onophoudelijke inzet, liefde en kracht. Laten we hun buitengewoonheid erkennen en vieren, niet alleen vandaag, maar elke dag.
