Every trail, every race deserves to be celebrated ✌️🥳🏃♀️
Long or short, fast or slow: it’s always about the joy, the experience, and the gratitude of being able to move your body. Finding peace in nature and embracing all its elements: the elevations and descents, the heat and the cold.
Throwback to this beautiful, quiet trail race two weeks ago 🏃♀️✌️🫶
A 21 km run organised by in the Lac Du Bois grasslands near Kamloops ⛰️🏜️🌵
Running through open landscapes, cactuses and endless views over the city, where we got to live for a while, such a special one. 🌎🏃♀️
This race, and the training leading up to it, taught me so much about listening to my body and adapting to different phases in life.

Canadian winter ❄️🤍
Thank you.
You’ve been so much more than just surviving -20°C.
You’ve been crisp mornings and golden light.
Quiet forests and frozen lakes.
Cold, wild, beautiful… and unforgettable in the best possible ways.
You challenged me, slowed me down, and made me fall in love with winter.
Canadian winter, you were magical ⛷️ ❄️ 🏔️

What a year… 2025 you were wild in the best possible way.✨
A year full of change, courage, and adventure, including that big move to Canada 🇨🇦 for my husband’s work.
“Canada? But it’s so cold… what are you even going to do there?”
The question everyone asked us before we left.
And honestly? We’ve loved every single season so far. ❄️🏔️
From snowy mountains and amazing winter sports to endless nature. I get it, every season here has its own magic.
So grateful for the lessons learned, the memories made, and the life we’re building. Wherever we are, as long as we’re together life will be good 🌍 🫶.
Having my mom visit us for the Christmas holidays made it even more special 🥹🫶❤️ She truly is the best.
Ready for everything 2026 has to bring. 🤩
Travel tip: plan to come ski or hike in BC 🍁? Make sure to put Revelstoke on your list! Winter or summer, this place has it ALL! We stayed at and it was gorgeous!!
So see you soon?😏

Finding my balance in one of BC’s Best-Kept Secrets 🤫💦. Save for later!
This summer we stumbled upon one of the best-kept secrets around Revelstoke: the trail to Wapta Falls in Yoho National Park. This place feels like nature’s own cathedral: raw, wild, and deeply peaceful.
A few things we loved:
🏔️The hike is fairly easy, only ~2.3 km one way, through lush forest and roots underfoot.
🏔️Once you reach the falls, you’re rewarded with a thunderous, wide sheet of water: roughly 18 m high and 107 m wide.
🏔️There are viewpoints from the top, but if you’re brave (and careful), you can hike down to the base to feel the mist and hear the Kicking Horse River roar.
🏔️The trail gets muddy and rooty, so decent shoes help.
🏔️It’s a quieter trail than the big tourist spots and it’s dog friendly. 🐾
In a few of these photos, I’m balancing in yoga poses on a fallen tree trunk, and honestly I feel most centered when I’m surrounded by wild, untamed nature.
So my pro tip: Don’t rush this one, relax and try to find you peace and balance here. Soak up this beautiful wild nature mindfully 🙏
Bring a towel so you can dip your feet in the water, sit by the riverbank, and soak in the vibes. And maybe bring a snack this feels like the kind of place you want to hang out for a while.

Another ultra in the pocket 🤘🏃♀️🏔️
This one was all about pure grit: cold, rain, fog, brutal climbs with no rewarding views at the top. My first self-sufficient race: no crew, no husband at aid stations, just me against the mountains.
Preparation wasn’t ideal either: shin splints had me sidelined until two weeks before the race. And yet… I finished pain-free and smiling. A volunteer even said: “I love how you’re still smiling” and that will always be my ultimate goal. To find joy, even in the suffering. To keep smiling even when it gets hard, I choose to be here.
Because for me the ultras aren’t just about the miles, they’re about gratitude. About pushing my body, respecting what it can do, and finding stillness in the chaos of everyday life.
What I learned this time:
💪 Believe, even when injuries say otherwise.
⛰️ 550m of climbing in just 1.5 km is brutal.
🥶 Even in cold, wet, zero-view conditions, trail running is magic.
🍪 My stomach still hates gels after 50k.
🛁 Nothing beats a hot bath + burger & fries after the finish line.
P.S. Canada… I’m starting to think the whole “bear country” thing is a scam. 8 hours in the wild with peanut butter cookies in my vest and still no bears. 🐻😂
