Une nouvelle fiche publiée dans JAMA Pediatrics explique comment les symptômes varient selon l’âge : troubles du sommeil et de l’appétit chez les tout-petits, fatigue, brouillard cérébral et troubles de l’humeur chez les adolescents.

Ces symptômes peuvent perturber la vie quotidienne, le développement et les apprentissages. Pourtant, beaucoup d’enfants ne sont ni reconnus ni accompagnés.

Afgelopen weekend werd in De Werft in Geel op een bijzondere manier aan Sas gedacht. Haar foto, een brandend kaarsje en symbolen van haar onvermoeibare strijd tegen onze ziektes vormden een ingetogen eerbetoon aan haar moed en engagement.

Op zondag 7 september vindt op diezelfde plek onze benefietdag plaats. Verdere informatie hierover volgt nog, maar één ding staat vast: deze dag zal ook in het teken staan van Sas. Voor haar overlijden heeft zij intens mee nagedacht over dit evenement. Ze wist hoe belangrijk deze dag zou zijn — niet alleen voor de actie, maar ook voor de verbondenheid.

We weten dat we haar die dag extra hard zullen voelen. In ons hart. In onze gedachten. In elke stap die we zetten voor haar en met haar.

We ontvingen van lotgenote Mireille een prachtige en aangrijpende tekst, die zij met haar hart heeft geschreven. Graag willen we deze met jullie delen.
