Matching Your Hair to Your Topper ✨

Finding an exact color match isn’t always possible and sometimes you simply feel like a change.

Many people assume the topper always has to match their bio hair, but it can work the other way around too. You can match the topper to your hair, or your hair to the topper.

After being brunette for a long time, I decided it was time for something different. A few highlights in my bio hair have opened up so many more possibilities. While I’ve been loving my Closed Lace Topper in Chiara lately, I can now also wear shades like June and Vittoria much more easily.

Of course, this isn’t the right choice for everyone. The health of your bio hair should always come first, and any coloring should be done thoughtfully and professionally.

If there’s one thing I find most important, it’s respect and kindness. They cost nothing, but they mean everything.

I think sharing educational content is so important, because alternative hair is such a big world. And the beautiful thing about this community is that we can learn from each other, support each other and grow together.

I learned so much from others when I first started, and I’m still learning every day. Nobody is perfect.

With Hair by V, I still try to think from the buyer’s perspective, because that’s where I started too. Having androgenetic alopecia myself, I understand how personal and emotional alternative hair can be. My first topper purchase was honestly a disaster, and back then I didn’t even know this hair community existed.

I have a lot of respect for colleagues who custom color alternative hair, because I know how much time, effort and patience it takes. Most people don’t want standard colors or mainstream pieces. Everyone has different needs, wishes and priorities.

And that little extra we can give people… that matters.
