This image was captured by the Artemis II crew just 6 minutes before Earth disappeared behind the Moon completely.

Earth in a crescent phase... sunlight coming from the right. Australia and Oceania visible through swirling clouds on the day side. The dark half experiencing nighttime. 🌏

And in the foreground... the Moon's ancient rugged surface. Covered in secondary crater chains... scars left behind by billions of years of violent impacts. 🌑

Two worlds. One frame. A view no human has seen in over 50 years.
