Listen, if you’re worried about your makeup not lasting all day , especially in this heat, I have the solution for you 💄 My clients are able to party from sun up to sun down, travel to and wear their makeup in hot Caribbean countries , and so forth without any concern of their makeup moving 💁🏾‍♀️💄 So what’s the key to long lasting makeup applications? … ✨SKIN PREP✨ Yes , it’s actually what you do before you apply makeup that matters the most. People tend to overlook how important moisturizing is. No matter the skin type, moisturizer is an essential step. Moisturizer can help control oil production which can prevent makeup from dissolving faster. Even if you have seriously oily skin like myself , I find that my skin over produces oil when it feels dry. When I moisturize , my skin produces less oils, which helps the makeup to last way longer. Primer is another essential step. Debatable for some but it hasn’t failed my clients yet. Sticky primers that give the makeup something to grip to always aid in the makeup lasting all day. And if you have oily skin , using mattifying primers in those areas , followed up with some setting powder will do the trick every time.
