For mermay, I wanted to take a different appearance to the mermaid and decided to create what would be considered a "lore accurate" merman. Depending on which myth you read, mermen are more hideous looking in comparison to their female counterpart. So I deviated from what you would normally see during MerMay, elegance, ethereal, beauty, to a nightmarish creature of the deep lol. This look also gave me the chance to brush up on my Photoshop skills, can't be a merman with out a tail and the environment lol. Prosthetic piece was made using

Soft Glam is a step up from Fresh face. With this look the brows are more defined, the eyes now have a pop colour which is usually that of soft colours such as earth tones and/or pastel colours. Bronzer is still used as both to warm and contour, but there is a little more highlight than that of fresh face, setting powder is also used as a brightner for those areas, there is a bit more blush and tinted gloss. Natural lash strips could be used for this look but the model already had long lushes lashes. I used a luminizing foundation for this look i think the dewy-ness adds to the softness of this look. A perfect look for date night! #

In my Makeup studies I've learned what we would call fresh face Makeup in the bahamas is actually soft glam. Fresh faced Makeup is supposed to make you look polished and bring out you natual features. Light foundation, brows are filled not sculpted, bronzer is used not just for warming up the face but for light contouring. Light concealer for a bright under eye, a little on the chin and the t-zone set with light powder, light blush, light eyeliner preferably dark brown, no false lashes just mascara, and a little lip liner and gloss. Not every client likes heavy makeup, so having these techniques under my belt is a game changer. # #ɴᴀᴛᴜʀᴀʟᴍᴀᴋᴇᴜᴘ #

I would usually post 4 to 5 photos but I loved all of these photos. Delicate yet playful, the porcelain bunny comes to life to bring easter cheer....and tea! The inspiration for this look was the blue and white porcelain figurines that my grandmother use to have on display in her living room. So I figured why not make a porcelain bunny for easter? A huge thank you too:

My entry for Beautifuly Broken challenge. I call my look Beauty in Death. Death is a topic many do not like to think about, and understandably so, nobody wants to die but, everyone and everything has to. But did you know in its own way, death has its different kind of beauty? From the concept of an afterlife, where souls go to finally be at peace and be free from the pain and suffering of the mortal realm, that within itself a beautiful and comforting thought. That is represented here by the gold abstract line work and glitter. Or how about something in the physical, flowers and leaves when they are in the process of dying change into a beautiful shades of oranges, yellows browns and burgundy, and who doesn't love to jump into a pile of crunchy autumn leaves. That is represent here by the giant flower in the process of dying, with shades of yellow and oranges, with the edges blackened and eaten through.
Abstract works is something I don't normally do, so this is a step out of my comfort zone. But I am glad with how it turned out.
