The Masire family mourns, Ramatebejana ward mourns, Kanye mourns, Botswana mourns, SADC mourns, the entire African continent mourns and the whole world mourns the passing away of a great leader. He was a great family man, an active uncompromising ward man, a humble President, a great freedom fighter, mediator and peace maker. Rra Gaone has signposted to us as the whole world the kind of leadership acceptable in this society.

He understood very well that partisan politics are only a difference in opinions not a difference in your nationality and makeup as a person. He fought a good fight which even a blind person can see, a deaf person can hear and a crippled person can jump up and down to celebrate it. His was a journey and a voyage beyond this country's vision, SADC goals, hopes of the African continent as a whole and the dreams of the entire world.

To the Masire family, may the Lord God Almighty soothe your pain in this difficult time. We can all agree to the fact that with God pain is changed to joy, hopelessness is changed to anticipation, hunger is changed to abundance and fulfillment, failure is changed to success, death is changed to celebration of a great and righteously lived life.
