Lash lengths MATTER, babes.

Our number one priority is the integrity of your NATURAL lashes.

And being that we care about your natural lashes, we wanna share a snippet of information about lash extension lengths on your natural lashes.

A lash tech should NOT be lashing your natural lashes with lengths more than 3mm longer than your natural lash. ❌

Using lash lengths of longer than 3mm to try and achieve more “drama” - unsafe lengths will not only cause poor retention and possible damage, they also will not always help you achieve the “drama” that you are looking for.

Depth and “drama” come from dense lashes and covering as many natural lashes as you can in a set.

Sometimes using lengths that are too long can create sparse, stringy looking lashes that actually have the opposite effect.

Your lash tech is the expert with training. 🎉

Let's talk about retention....👏🏽

If you think of all the possible scenarios that can happen with your lashes not staying on, you'd assume it's the lash technician who is having issues.

Right?... Don't lie, cuz that was once me too.🤷🏼‍♀️

Don't get me wrong there are definitely times where it CAN be due to something your lash tech has done or changed, but more often than not there's so many more variables!

Let's dive in on what some of those variable are:
💕 Poor lash hygiene - THIS is the # 1 CAUSE of poor retention! Always be sure to wash your lashes! I'll dive in a bit more on this further down.

💕 Hormones - we as women experience changes in hormones monthly, and sometimes our natural hormones don't play fair and change so many things in our body. Retention of lash extensions included.

💕Using products with oil around your eyes or washing your eyes with something other than lash shampoo - this one is big. Most people aren't truly aware of whats in their mascara. It is recommended not to use anything aside from products meant for extensions!

Now as mentioned sometimes, it's also the lash technician who needs to make sure they're properly ready for your service to ensure you have great retention.

🌞 Fresh glue makes retention that much better! Always remember to keep track of your glue's shelf life. After 30 days of opening, most lash glues have reached their life expectancy. ❌

🌞 Choosing a lash extension that is too heavy for the clients natural lash will cause poor retention and possibly cause breakage or damage ❌

🌞 Not providing a lash bath can cause poor retention! Think about it... You're placing a lash extension not on the natural eyelash but Infact on the build up of who knows what on the lashes ❌
