Self-Compassion 💗
Self-compassion means treating yourself with the same kindness that you would show a close friend. Most of us tend to be much harder on ourselves, but practicing self-compassion nurtures your relationship with yourself and restores balance.

Here’s why self-compassion matters:

💗 Reduces Burnout & Stress
Constantly pushing ourselves activates stress responses in the body, releasing hormones like cortisol and adrenaline. While this can help in the short term, it drains us over time. Self-compassion helps us pause and restore balance, lowering stress hormone levels and rebuilding energy. By allowing rest when we’re tired, we can handle demands with more ease and calm.

💗 Improves Mental Focus & Clarity
Self-compassion helps us acknowledge our limits and work within them, leading to better decision-making. When we give ourselves breaks and accept that we can’t do it all at once, our minds naturally refresh and perform better. This prevents mental fog and exhaustion, giving us clarity to handle tasks as they come.

💗 Builds a Positive Self-Cycle
When we treat ourselves with compassion, we reinforce positive self-talk, which boosts self-esteem and motivation. This reduces inner criticism which can be draining and creates energy from a place of support, not fear or shame.

💗 Fosters Resilience & Consistency
By embracing compassion in tough moments, we avoid cycles of overworking and crashing. This builds resilience, helping us show up more consistently and steadily over time. It creates a sustainable rhythm that supports our energy.

The health of your hair is always my top priority during our service but your hair deserves the same love and care at home as it does in the salon! Achieving healthy hair is easier than you think! It’s all about using the right products, staying consistent, and incorporating small habits that create big results. 

Here are some simple tips you can follow at home to keep your hair looking and feeling its best in between visits: 

💗 Hydration & Protein Balance: A balance between moisture and protein treatments is so important for healthy hair, especially if it’s been chemically treated. Alternate these treatments and aim to do them every 1-2 weeks to keep your hair strong and nourished.

💗Turn Down the Heat: If you love styling tools, be sure to use a heat protectant spray before applying any heat. Keep your tools at a maximum of 300°F for fine or damaged hair and 350°F for thicker hair to prevent heat damage.

 💗Choose High-Quality Products: Invest in high-quality shampoos and conditioners specific  to your hair type. Look for sulfate-free formulas to preserve your hair’s natural oils and maintain its softness.

💗Regular Microtrims: Schedule regular trims every 8-12 weeks to keep your ends healthy and prevent split ends. Microtrims can make a big difference in maintaining hair health!

💗Brush with Care: Use a wide-tooth comb or a gentle brush to detangle your hair, starting from the bottom and working your way up to avoid breakage. My favourite is the wet brush! 10/30/2024
