I’ve had 4 different spray tan systems throughout my 16 years in the sunless industry, and when I say I started from the bottom… I’m not even joking 😂

My first machine was a white-labelled system with a plastic gun that leaked and had virtually ZERO customizable settings. Somehow, we made it work.

More recently, when I opened my second location, I moved my Fuji Solo Tan there. I started noticing my tans weren’t going on quite as evenly as I was used to. Can I still create a flawless tan with it? Absolutely. But it takes a little more attention to detail, more blending and more drying time because it’s simply not as powerful.

I still think the Solo Tan is a GREAT starter system, especially for newer artists or mobile artists. It’s portable, does the job and is a great way to get started.

At my main studio I had upgraded to the Studio Tan and immediately noticed the difference, especially when doing more volume.

BUT… I recently got the Salon Tan and ughhh I hate to say it because I was definitely skeptical about whether the price difference would actually be worth it 😂

It is.

The application is smoother and more even. I can work quicker. Drying is faster. And maybe my favourite part… I no longer have to YELL over my machine while trying to have a conversation with my client or give them posing instructions 😂

If you’re doing higher volume in a studio or salon and want something powerful without all the noise, I really do think the Salon Tan is worth the investment.

And trust me, I don’t say that lightly.
