I always like to explain the difference before someone chooses the technique, because microblading is the most commonly known option, but it isn’t necessarily the technique I recommend for everyone.

Microblading creates hair strokes by making tiny manual cuts in the skin and depositing pigment into those cuts. With repeated treatments over time, those cuts can create scar tissue, and the individual strokes can eventually blur together or fade into greyish or reddish tones. It also tends to require more frequent maintenance.

For that reason, I normally recommend Powder Brows or Nano Brows instead. These techniques are performed with a machine and a very fine needle rather than making cuts in the skin. They are much gentler and allow us to create beautiful, natural-looking brows while being kinder to the skin long term.

First session of Lip Neutralization

This is a before and immediately after, not a healed result.

The goal of lip neutralization is to gradually correct cool, brown, purple or uneven pigmentation and bring more warmth and balance back to the natural lip tone.

And look closely at the “after” photo: it was taken immediately after the procedure. There is no significant swelling, bleeding or visible trauma to the lips. The skin looks calm, the lip texture is intact, and we can already see a beautiful shift toward a warmer, more even tone.

Lip neutralization is a process, especially when working with naturally darker pigmentation. This is only session ONE. As the lips heal, the initial color will change significantly before the true result develops.

The goal is never to overpower the natural lip with pigment. It’s to work gradually with the natural pigmentation to create a softer, healthier-looking and more even tone.

Now we let the skin heal and see what this first session gives us before deciding what she needs next.
