Do Bears Hibernate under Houses? YES, they sure do! Or they try to, anyway. Each and Every winter the BEAR League 'encourages' a minimum of 100 bears to scoot out from under someone's house or cabin in the Tahoe/Truckee area. We crawl in behind them and scare them from their slumber.... not very nice of us, we admit. However, they can cause a tremendous amount of damage to the plumbing, heating and gas lines. Plus they snore real loud. And some people are just not comfortable with a great big bear literally under their feet. This video is just one of the countless sleepy bears we've had to be mean to. If all residents would please secure their crawl space openings BEFORE the bears go in, we could let sleeping bears lie... because they wouldn't be under our homes. That would be so nice; for the bears, for the homeowners and for the 'Mean old BEAR League People' (thats' what the bears call us when we wake them up and chase them out) 11/15/2022
