The painting is a Christmas present and the painter is the husband of one of my clients, which I find very cool.

He came in on her second session and thanked me for the result and for keeping his wife looking natural.
I admired his supportive attitude with his wife getting these treatments. He said he isn’t opposed as long as his wife doesn’t look weird or unnatural….and I’m on the same page 🙏

Note: these results took two sessions, we used 1 ml of Hyaluronic Acid dermal filler in total. The before shot was taken before the first injection and the after is courtesy of my client a week and a half after the last treatment without any bruising or swelling.

Sadly there is a lot of misconceptions about injections and a lot of husbands and partners are opposed to them because of what they see and it doesn’t look good or natural. It’s not their fault.

But there is a lot of everything out there. Some guys actually like those big lips 🤦🏻‍♂️.

I had this colleague nurse visit today.
Main concern was to get some hydration and plumpness on her top lip and look at her results.

We can achieve so much harmonization with dermal filler injections.
I’m impressed with her vasculature, the way it came out to intensify the natural colour of her lips. (Note: she isn’t wearing any lipstick or lip balm in the after picture, healing lip balm was added after the picture was taken).

✅Filler used: Belotero Balance (this is a very soft filler and I love the fact that it minimizes the occurrence of lumps and bumps/and it’s perfect for hydration).
✅Numbing agent: Topical BLT and Lidocaine 2% for mucosal block.
✅Pain level: 0

Natural looking results are always the goal.

I had this beautiful colleague and friend of mine over and we just did a little touch in her upper lip, just to balance her proportions.
Dermal fillers aren’t just for lips. The main indication for their use is to replace volume loss caused by bone reabsorption and fat pads depletion that happens with aging or weight loss.

Non permanent dermal fillers are Hyaluronic Acid based, which appears naturally in our bodies, that’s the main reason for minimal risk of allergic reactions or rejection.
Dermal fillers should be used to balance and enhance the natural looking features of the face, and with extreme caution to avoid overfilled, weird looking effect.
And of course they just look beautiful in the lips, because they hydrate, plump, define and could correct imperfections when needed.

If you have any questions, ask your nurse injector, always make sure to have a proper consultation and ask what could go wrong and if they have the knowledge and skills to manage a complication.

We always have 1 spot that is annoying us every time we look at ourselves! A good injector is someone who listens and guides you to the right path ❤️

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma.
✅Blood is drawn into a tube.
✅The tube containing blood is placed in a centrifuge where it’s spun.
✅The spinning process separates the red blood cells from the plasma which gets enriched with platelets (The platelets contain growth factors that help with anti-aging).
✅There are different methods to deliver the PRP into the skin.
✅Risks are minimal because of the autologous factor.
✅There could some down time due to redness of the skin, bruising and swelling. It doesn’t happen always but there is always a possibility. But it’ll go away.
✅Pain and discomfort are minimal because of use of topical numbing agents.
✅It’s recommended to have a few treatments a month apart.
