I Got You, Bes
Our daily grind and everything in between.

This is from the sunset yoga session earlier. Honestly bes I haven’t been practicing consciousness in my consumption the past few weeks and now I feel its effect on me. I have trouble concentrating I’m glued to my phone just so I have something to fidget with and use as a distraction. Trying to incorporate more greens in my diet and less refined stuff. I feel like a frumpy mess. I also feel overwhelmed with a lot of things. How do I quiet the mind?

A glorious lump of carb is what I (with the help of Anya) made today. Fresh homemade bread that smelled like a comforting hug. More than the sustenance, the statement that carb is not to be feared is another thing that makes this easy to make labor of love more likeable. I had like three slices with homemade pesto with basil I gathered from the garden. I started the day with an intense ten minute arm exercise and ended it with a relaxed evening yoga. I think I drank a satisfactory amount of water for the whole day. I like yoga. It calms my mind.

My plans for the evening include grabbing lechon liempo for dinner then going through Anya’s school activities, and finishing my pending task on transcribing the last two minutes of the meeting in time for tomorrow but all that didn’t materialize. I’m dead tired from today’s errands and workload. Like my energy’s been zapped off in an instant the moment 2PM striked. I tried to eat healthyish today- had ginataang puso ng saging and sinuglaw from the carenderia. No need for dessert because they seasoned it all out with sugar. What a tiring day. I’m glad tho I got to squeeze in a 10-minute arm exercise this morning before leaving for work. That and a two minute plank. That’s the healthiest part of my tiring day today. I’m also glad I got to write this entry. I wish it sounded more optimistic but this was how my day went. I didn’t get to journal today nor do any of my affirmations. I tried grounding- felt the grass beneath my feet under the stars and mama’s papaya trees but that also felt hurried.

This is my favourite Polish salad. Red cabbage, lemon, red onion, apple, cranberries, olive oil. I try put a bit of salt. The crunchiness of the cabbage lasts for days. Cranberries sure do make it sweet.
It’s 10:22pm and I better get ready for bed. Drank my two glasses of water and filled up my Yeti bottle. Hoping I get a good night of sleep this time.
Hello bes! Good day!
I’m going to sleep! Haaa
