Hoping everyone has A GREAT New Year at school. Whether travelling by car, by school bus or by foot, there are safety tips to keep in mind to ensure everyone has a safe start to the academic year. As the school year kicks off, let's hear it for the school bus drivers, cafeteria staff, teaching staff and custodians/janitorial staff who keep our kids safe every single day.
It is illegal to pass a stopped school bus when red lights are flashing! In NS, a 1st-offense fine is $410 along with 6 demerit points. For subsequent offenses in NS, the fine increases up to $1272.50!
