Dermaplaning looks simple, and is cheaper to do at home, but that doesn’t mean it should be done, us esthetician’s use a medical grade blade, the ti**le razors come no where close to comparison!

At home, improper pressure or technique can lead to micro tears, nicks, irritation and an unhappy skin barrier. And without proper sanitation, you’re also increasing the risk of bacteria getting into those tiny breaks in the skin.

A professional knows how to properly prep your skin, control the blade, work around the contours of your face and most importantly know when your skin should NOT be dermaplaned.
