And THAT is what I want to hear.
3 different colours went into creating this grey transition — because sometimes one colour just isn’t going to give you that seamless blend.
She came to me after trying nanos, wefts and K-Tips elsewhere and never really feeling happy with the placement, quality or overall result.
At her consultation I told her, we need to stop fighting the warmth in your natural hair and actually WORK with it. She wanted to be brighter, so we compromised 😌 A little of her natural colour, a little warmth, lots of brightness and dimension.
Just over 100g of my European hairline and somehow it felt LIGHTER than what she had worn before.
Good extensions aren’t just about adding more hair. It’s the colour, placement, weight, method and actually listening to what your client wants. 🤌🏼
She trusted my recommendations, I listened to her — and THIS was the result.
Nothing makes me happier than giving someone the hair they’ve been trying to get all along. 🤍
When did taking the time to do things properly become a “waste of time”? 👀
I’ve been seeing more extension artists say that customizing K-Tip bonds isn’t worth the extra time or money… meanwhile, I’m seeing clients come through my door for emergency removals with bonds that were simply too large or heavy for their natural hair.
Custom bonds aren’t about being fancy. They allow us to adjust the size, weight and placement based on the density and integrity of the client’s natural hair.
Does it take me longer? Absolutely.
But if taking a little extra time means I can create a safer, more comfortable and more customized install for my client, I’ll happily “waste” my time. 🤷🏼♀️
We shouldn’t be looking for ways to make extensions faster at the expense of the person wearing them.
Your client’s natural hair should always come first. 🤍
