During pregnancy, hormones can change your hair’s growth cycle, texture, and density. Many people notice their hair gets thicker or grows faster. Then after pregnancy, hormones shift again and the hair cycle changes back.

When that happens, it can leave a visible line in the hair shaft where the growth pattern changed , almost like a grow-out line from colour.
