Texture, fine lines, laxity, pigmentation and overall skin health can all influence how the face looks and how other aesthetic treatments fit into the bigger picture.

For appropriate candidates like this client, Plexr plasma treatment may be one option to help improve aspects of skin quality by supporting a resurfacing response.

But Plexr isn't the only way to address skin quality — and it isn't a good fit for everyone. Depending on your skin concerns, lifestyle and tolerance for downtime, your plan may include skincare, chemical peels, laser, microneedling, Plexr or a combination approach.

Sometimes the most impactful part of an aesthetic plan isn't adding volume or treating a wrinkle.
It's investing in the skin itself.

Stretch marks are a form of scarring — and improving them isn't always as simple as choosing one treatment.

Their appearance, texture, colour and degree of inflammation can vary considerably, which means treatment needs to be individualized.

Depending on the characteristics of the stretch marks and the client's skin, options may include skincare, microneedling, laser, chemical peels or Plexr plasma treatment. Since this client was most interested in smoothing her skin and re-shaping her umbilicus (belly button), we determined that Plexr was her best option.

These before & after images show improvement in skin texture following one Plexr treatment — but they also show an important part of the story: healing isn't always pretty.

Redness is expected following treatment, and this client also developed post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH)— an unwanted darkening of the treated skin that can occur following inflammation or injury.

That pigmentation now requires additional management with pigment-reducing skincare products while the skin continues to recover.

Aesthetic treatment isn't just about showing the improvement. It's also about being transparent about downtime, risks and what may be required along the way.
