Then we can talk about what you love about those cuts, what will work with your hair texture and growth patterns, and what it will realistically take to recreate that look at home.

Sometimes your hair doesn't need more product.

It needs a clean slate. 🫧

Over time, styling products, oils, dry shampoo, minerals from your water, sweat and everyday buildup can accumulate on your hair and scalp.

And your hair will usually start giving you clues.

Maybe it gets greasy much faster than usual.
Your scalp feels itchy or irritated.
Your blonde starts looking a little dull.
Or your hair suddenly feels heavy and won't hold volume or curls the way it normally does.

That's when I reach for a clarifying shampoo.

For many people, using one about once a week can help remove that buildup so your regular haircare and styling products can do their jobs properly.

And because clarifying can give your hair a deeper cleanse, I like to follow it with a hydrating masque through the mid-lengths and ends.

One important note: your hair and scalp are individual. How often you should clarify depends on your hair, the products you use, your water, how often you wash, and your lifestyle.

We've swapped stories, solved problems, shared advice, and had more than a few conversations that started with hair and somehow ended somewhere completely different. 😂

We've also listened through divorces, illnesses, grief, job losses, and some of life's hardest seasons.

Sometimes people come in carrying the weight of the world and what they need most at that moment isn't a haircut or colour (although they get that too).

Great hair is important; it makes you look and feel like the cat’s meow, but sometimes what really makes a difference is a little bit of time to yourself, a listening ear and a chance to feel cared for.
