Dear beautiful Dish community,

Sometimes change comes in small doses and other times it is complete and immediate. It is always an opportunity.
An opportunity to grow, to modify, to regroup… to evaluate.
Over the last couple of years, we have made many small dose changes. People have come and gone and our community has evolved and continues to do so.
The time has come for a complete and immediate change. From the first day of its inception in 2010 to to this day in 2023 Dish has been here with you …growing with you.. changing with you.

As of today, Dish salon is no longer.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me the privilege of serving you in this beautiful community for so many years. I have been truly blessed by your loyalty and energy.

Change can be such a funny thing, ya know? And we’ve had quite a bit of it around here lately. We wanted to take a minute to catch you up with what’s been going on.

Dish has transitioned into a hair collective salon. This means that each stylist now works for themself 👏🏼 this is a super exciting change! But change always comes with… more change.

Unfortunately, we will no longer have a salon receptionist.

Going forward *TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT: call us at 613-779-6232 and leave a detailed message including the stylist and service you’d like. Your stylist will return your call.

Chair rental comes with many opportunities including being your own boss and creating your own hours.

At Dish Salon we have a few extra perks such as:
-1 colour chair and 1 cutting/styling chair per stylist
-our lovely, amazing receptionist to help with cash outs/bookings
-comparable monthly rates (with options)
-backbar shampoo and conditioner supplied

We are happy to let you all know that our debit machines are back in action, and that's not the only exciting thing happening around here this week.

RockFest is gearing up for its opening night this Thursday. Starting today our parking lot is transforming into The Empire Square, and won't be accessible again until next week.

Parking is available in the area at a cost of $1.00 an hour. There is no charge for parking after 5:00 pm or on weekends.

We are ecstatic to welcome the newest member into our dishSALON family.

Miranda's sweet bundle of love Nomi, was born on June 2nd.

Mom, Dad and big brother Lawson are all doing great, and enjoying every second of her arrival.

Allow us to reintroduce Melody.

Melody has more than 10 years of hairstyling under her belt, and owned a bustling and unpretentious salon in Downtown Toronto for over six years. She recently moved with her family to Belleville to be closer to nature, and was quickly welcomed into the dishSalon family!

Among her qualifications, she has a Super Curly hair certification, a colour fundamentals certification with L’Oréal, and has kept up to date with many colour trend seminars through L’Oréal, as well as styling courses with Kevin Murphy and R&Co. Melody loves encouraging natural textures in hair, and helping her clients discover low-maintenance at-home styling techniques that work for them.

With a fine arts degree (majoring in fiber arts) and a bachelors in psychology, her chair is always an inviting and comfortable place to be. Always up for a laugh, a heartfelt conversation or an open-minded discussion, Melody's clients describe her as a ray of warm sunshine.

Melody understands that communication is vital, so you can expect a thorough consultation before your cut and/or colour, ensuring that you leave her chair feeling like the best version of yourself -- the one with amazing hair!
