Some mornings you just get lucky.

Or is it more than that?

This morning all my
bedhead needed was a quick reshuffling with my fingers to be work-ready.

But…it’s because I washed it (3 or 4) days ago with Revive Volumizing Shampoo and Revitalize Conditioner, then used a thickening spray and a mousse before I blow dried it.

I wore my natural straight for a couple of days and then I curled it with a curling iron yesterday using Refinish hairspray to hold the curls.

This morning it looked crazy (as usual) when I woke up but in an attempt to gain more time back in my day, I just raked my hands through the day old curls and was pretty happy with the results!

I am all about making my life easier and yours easier too! I always give my clients advice about how they can style their hair quickly and easily.

Products help! Safe hot tool use is essential! Learning a few simple tricks can go a long way to setting you and your hair up for success.

You can’t control everything in life (your hair is a daily reminder of that) but you can build a foundation of skills and tools that will help prepare you for whatever the day brings!

I had a client the other day who said something that made me laugh at the crazy times we live in.

"Thanks for the great haircut, my dog will love it!"

I love the little things that my clients sometimes say when I'm behind the chair.

I’ve got some new faces following me so I want to take a moment to introduce myself.

I’m Sharon Huckle and I like you have many job titles. I am the owner of the Cat’s Meow Salon (among other businesses). I am a 25 year veteran of the beauty industry and I am trained as both a hairstylist and an esthetician, though I closed my spa last year. I am best known for lived-in hair cuts and low-maintenance colours that grow out beautifully.

I am also a mother to two amazing sons (Asher and Kayden) and am a daughter, sister, friend, employer and mentor. I am blessed to have so many amazing people in my life and I cherish them all.

When I’m not behind the chair, you’ll find me making food (and eating) or making art. Much of the art in my salon and boutique motel was done by me and I owned a food business for almost 25 years with my ex-husband, who was a chef.

Being a stylist must be part of my DNA because I am truly the happiest when I’m in the salon working with my guests. No two guests are the same and I pride myself on taking the time to connect with each and every person who sits in my chair. All of my clients are given a free styling lesson at their first appointment so that they always know how to recreate their look at home.
