A colour correction. My client arrived with sandy golden hair from another salon attempt at a I corrected using a gentle colour remover and retoning with a cool. My client did not want grey, nor did I and we opted for a very pretty, cool white blonde. ♥️ enjoyed during this appointment ♥️

Today I am stuck at home. I tweeked my back yesterday at work and now in pain. What do you do when you can't do much... knit, read and something easy.

I had two bananas in the fridge that needed using so I pulled out a War Time recipe for Banana Loaf. Its got very few ingredients and I just happened to have some chocolate chips in the upstairs freezer so I threw some in.



1 egg, flour, butter or lard, salt, baking soda, bananas, brown sugar... no extras, no milk, water, vanilla extract or nuts (although it said you could add nuts).

It smells delicious and no bananas were tossed to the garbage. With the cost of food today, turning to the habits of our ancestors, especially wartime tips for baking and cooking will truly help pinch those pennies.
