About a week ago, we got to learn and connect with other artists at Goldwell KMS On Tour! It’s an event I personally look forward to every year 🥰

Today was special for a lot of reasons 🤍

Today was ‘s first ever class, and we got to teach a class that’s been a year in the making 🤍

My teaching partner has grown so much in her career, and I’m so proud to have her stand next to me for today, and to work with every other day (that’s you, ) 💛💛💛

My team from helped prepare this class out of the kindness of their hearts. It takes a village to do this, and I’m grateful I have this team to love and work with every day 🤍 ( .salonblunt .hair )

Today we watched stylists become more confident with something that can be very intimidating, and watched their “aha!” moments come to life 🤍

Today made me remember, and solidify my “why” 🤍 I feel too grateful for words

This is Tracey and Ariana. Tracey was one of my first (if not my first) clients when I was assisting doing blow dries almost 8 years ago. This mother and daughter duo have followed me my whole career, so being a part of Ariana’s wedding day meant so much to me. THIS is my why 💛

ATTENTION REDHEADS

People with naturally red hair are always told “never colour your hair!” (Which like, as someone who wishes they had naturally red hair would agree haha)

But, what if you wanted to change it up without changing much of your (absolutely gorgeous) natural red hair?

Allow me to introduce you to ✨Glosses!✨

A gloss, to put it simply, enhances natural tones, adds an insane amount of shine, and adds lipids back into your hair so it acts as a treatment as well!

This is Cailin. She has naturally beautiful strawberry blonde hair. She was looking for a change but didn’t want to change her natural colour. This gloss I used on her was mostly clear, a little of a cookout close to her natural, and (of course)

The result: an enhanced version of what she was born with, and no demarcation when it grows out because it will fade over time!!

I can recommend glosses enough. Like, come on, THAT SHINE speaks for itself 👀✨

Yes, that’s all her own hair 🤯😍

I had so much fun creating this whimsical braid on Haley. She is a beautiful bride inside and out 👰🏼💕 Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day!

The still version (and in two different areas under different lighting) of the Copper & Honey colour from last week 🧡🍯

Her base colour is her natural copper. We wanted to keep the overall look still copper, but a much brighter version. Her hair lifted into a beautiful gold, and I used Gloss Tones 10BN and a little 10S to create a subtle filter over the blonde, without altering that beautiful lift too much.

Sometimes, (the right) warmth from lifting works in your favour. And, warm hair colours are equally as beautiful as cool hair colours; it just depends on the person’s skin tone to go with it ☺️

For styling I used Therma Shape 2-in-1 spray to hold these subtle waves, and the Dualsenses Diamond Gloss as a finisher for that super shiny effect 🤩

I got the privilege of seeing this beauty again 🥰 Thanks for visiting all the way from Alberta, 💕

Sometimes oxidative colour can oxidase in colours that might not be even close to the final result. Was your guess correct? 😂

Can you guess what hair colour this will be? Oxidative hair colour can oxidize in colours that may look absolutely nothing like the final result. Crazy, huh? 🪄 The colour in the bowl was used on the blonde statement piece in the front ☺️

This styled shoot was magical ✨❄️ Each Pearl was individually adhered to Madison’s Updo to create this whimsical, yet modern look perfect for the snow in the city.
